On October 22nd, 2015,      CU and NUT jointly held the grand opening ceremony of the “CU-NUT GIGAKU TECHNO PARK Office” which located at 11st floor Maha Vajirunbis Building, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University (CU). This office will run academia-industry-government cooperation, as the joint project of CU and NUT, and intend to be the core center for fostering innovative and global engineers in the world.

The Opening Ceremony was dignified by the presence of Mr. Uchikawa, Minister of the Embassy of Japan in the kingdom of Thailand, Ms. Kishida, Coordinator of e-Asia, Japan Science and Technology Agency and many top managements of Japanese companies including from Niigata Prefecture and Thai companies. From the university sides, Prof. Mongkol, the Vice President of CU, Prof. Polkit, the head of Faculty of Science, Prof. Azuma, Vice President of NUT, researchers and students attended. Totally 80 participants cerebrated. Mr. Uchikawa address that for the highly value-added industry, collaborative research development and human resource development are the objectives of the Embassy’s policy. GIGAKU Techno Park strategy promoted by CU-NUT exactly satisfy the policy. In addition, Prof.  Mongol expressed this project shall be historic event between CU and NUT.

CU and NUT will strengthen further alliance through the development of CU-NUT GIGAKU TECHNO PARK. During the ceremony also presidents of Fukuda Corporation and Nippon Seiki gave the company's presentations. To promote the implementation of academia-industry-government cooperation, joint research in Thailand and exchange of students, researchers and engineers, CU-NUT TECHNO PARK Office will be highly expected to be more active and effective.
